RECREATIONAL FIRE PERMITS
As a reminder, a recreation burn permit is required for all recreational fires within the Anacortes City limits. 
The burning of yard debris, garbage, or other non-approved materials is prohibited.

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training
Two CERT training courses are scheduled to begin:
 Monday evening April 10th 2017 at the McLean Road Fire Department and
Thursday evening April 13th 2017 at the Anacortes Salvation Army

 This Disaster Preparedness training takes 24 hour of classroom time to complete and will be held evenings for six weeks followed by a Saturday training and disaster drill. Essential topics will be covered with the primary goal of teaching you how to keep yourself safe while helping others when a disaster occurs. Preparing for disaster can be challenging, fun and achievable. Participants as young as 14 are permitted under specific conditions. There is no cost for this course. The West Skagit CERT program is supported by Skagit County Department of Emergency Management, Anacortes Fire Department, McLean Road Fire Dept., Skagit County Fire District #13 and Skagit County Fire District #11.
