PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT  - Anacortes Public Works Department - August 2, 2017, Anacortes, WA – City of Anacortes Residential Fall Clean Up Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 9 am-noon, Operations Facility, D Avenue and 37th Street. Gate will close promptly at 12 noon. The line of traffic can sometimes be very long, please arrive early to ensure you get through the gate before closing.

Get your household cleaning done and bring your residential garbage and yard waste at no charge. Items accepted are household garbage, furniture, and yard waste. Customers who live within city limits, verification of residence will be required. Please be ready to show two (2) forms of ID, example: a driver’s license and current copy of a utility bill. 

Appliances such as refrigerators and freezers will be accepted for a fee of $36.28 each and billed to your city account. All other appliances: washers/dryers, hot water tanks, and dish washers are a fee of $12.96 each which is ½ price of our normal special haul rate.

We cannot accept propane tanks, tires, large vehicle parts, hazardous waste, construction and demolition waste, which includes large lumber, roofing or concrete.

Loads are restricted to one “pick-up load” per customer and may be regulated at the discretion of city staff. Please load your vehicles so that you can unload yard waste first, and garbage second. Also, please be aware if towing a trailer, city employees are not allowed to back your vehicle up to the unload area. You must be able to back your trailer. For information, please contact:
