The Anacortes Fire Department provides emergency response and ambulance services for the City of Anacortes, Fidalgo and Guemes Islands under contract with Skagit County, funded partially by the Medic One Levy. The service area encompasses 85 square miles with a full-time population of 22,550.
These services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week through 911.
Staff
The Emergency Medical Services Operations are managed by Assistant Chief Mannix McDonnell. The Department's 25 career Firefighters are also state certified Paramedics (19) or EMTs (9) trained to utilize the Department's four ambulances as Mobile Intensive Care Units.
