    Dave Floyd

    Chief Floyd began is career with Anacortes Police Department as a Patrol Officer in 2000. In his tenure at APD, Chief Floyd has served as a Field Training Officer, Marine Patrol Officer, Bike Patrol Officer, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Detective on the Skagit County Interlocal Drug Enforcement Unit (SCIDEU) and Patrol Sergeant where he served as the Canine Program Coordinator, and Bike Patrol Coordinator.

    Chief Floyd was promoted to Administrative Captain in February 2018. In that capacity, he supervised the Administrative Division of APD which includes APD Training, Professional Standards Accreditation, and Special Investigations.

    Chief Floyd has a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences Degree in Public Affairs from Washington State University. He was born and raised in Vancouver, Washington.


  2. Police Captain Chris Fuller

    Chris Fuller

    Captain Fuller began his career with Anacortes Police Department as a Patrol Officer in 2000. In his sixteen year tenure at APD, Captain Fuller has served as a Field Training Officer, Marine Patrol Officer, Bike Patrol Officer, Detective on the Skagit County Interlocal Drug Enforcement Unit (SCIDEU), Field Training Sergeant, and, for the past six years, Detective Sergeant and member of the Skagit Multiple Agency Response Team (SMART).

    Captain Fuller was promoted to Patrol Captain in February 2017. In that capacity, he oversees the Patrol Division of the APD. 

    Captain Fuller has an Associate's Degree from Whatcom Community College, studied Sociology at Western Washington University, and is currently studying Administration of Criminal Justice at American Military University. Captain Fuller is a veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps. He was born and raised in the Pacific County, Washington.

    Chad Pruiett

    Captain Chad Pruiett graduated from Washington State University and was hired by the City of Anacortes in August 1999. During his time as a patrol officer, Captain Pruiett was involved in the bike patrol, marine patrol, and was a field training officer. Captain Pruiett was promoted to sergeant in March of 2011. Captain Pruiett took over the field training program as the coordinator at that time until transferring to detective sergeant in January of 2017. Captain Pruiett served multiple terms as both the guild vice president and President. Captain Pruiett was promoted to captain in May of 2022. Captain Pruiett is currently in charge of the investigations division, accreditation, and training for the entire department.
