Placed up against the SKAGIT BELLE and SKAGIT CHIEF, the W.T. PRESTON chugged its way to victory despite having lower horsepower than both of its competitors. The PRESTON, a long standing Anacortes historical icon, now sits on display outside the Maritime Heritage Center on R Avenue.
