"The Sea Hawk" publishes its first issue (1928)

Whether it be the American Bulletin, the Anacortes Mercury or the Anacortes American, the news has always been an important part of Anacortes culture. This love of journalism has not been lost on the students at Anacortes High School, with their newspaper, "The Sea Hawk," being first published in 1928. The spirit of "The Sea Hawk" still exists today with AHS now publishing "The Seahawk Journal," an online news outlet.
