Island Hospital dedicated (1962)

Though not the first hospital in town, Island Hospital has certainly aged the best, staying in full operation for over 50 years. From 1930 to 1962, the Anacortes Hospital was located at 913 M Avenue, being reconstructed in 1967 into what is now the Anacortes Public Library, with a portion of the building being given to the Soroptomist Organization.
