[ARCHIVED] M Avenue Alley Closures - Solid Waste Pick Up Temporary Relocation

5-29-18 Alley Closure Locations gis

Dear Residents,

As part of the ongoing asphalt preservation program, the City is continuing with the 2018 Asphalt Overlay – Utility and Pedestrian Improvements Project.

As a part of this project we are rebuilding alley approaches along M Avenue. In order to rebuild these alley approaches the alleys will need to be temporary closed to allow for construction and concrete curing.

On Tuesday, May 29, 2018 the City’s contractor will be closing the M Avenue end of the following alleys:

The alley west of M Avenue (between M Ave and L Ave) between 15th and 16th Streets

The alley west of M Avenue (between M Ave and L Ave) between 16th and 17th Streets

The alley east of M Avenue (between M Ave and N Ave) between 16th and 17th Streets

The alley west of M Avenue (between M Ave and L Ave) between 17th and 18th Streets

The alley east of M Avenue (between M Ave and N Ave) between 17th and 18th Streets

These alleys will be closed until approximately June 11, 2018.

Access to these alleys from L Avenue and N Avenue will remain open during these alley closures.

During these alley closures you will need to relocate your solid waste bins to the numbered street frontage of your property for pickup on the weeks of May 28 to June 1 and June 4 to June 8. Solid Waste pickup will happen on the regularly scheduled pickup day. Just a reminder, Monday, May 28, is the Memorial Day Holiday so Monday pickup will be on Tuesday, May 29, for that week. Regular alley garbage pickup is schedule to resume on Monday, June 11, for these alleys.

Please see attached map showing the alley closures in red and the solid waste pick up relocation areas in yellow.

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation while we make these needed improvements to the roadway. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me at (360) 588-8068.

Sincerely,

Tim Hohmann
