[ARCHIVED] How To Avoid Crowds On Anacortes Trails - April 16th

With the Stay Home/Stay Healthy order issued by the Governor, city parks and trails are seeing more use.  People are getting their exercise in which is good, however, there is an uptick of volume which makes social distancing difficult.  Based on our trail counter on the Thompson Trail, we see that when the sun is out, the peak use lasts from 10:30am to 6pm.  Please consider using the Thompson Trail and our other trails at off peak hours to minimize crowding.  Please also use your neighborhood parks within walking distance from your home to reduce the number of people at our most popular parks.

We understand these are stressful times and exercising and walking in nature help us all relax.  Together we can do this.  Thank you all for your patience and cooperation.
