Update November 20, 2020:
The cemetery expansion looks much different now as we have removed the poplars and conifer trees. In the next weeks the crews will begin to remove the old exit road and build a required storm water pond. They will finish this phase by hydroseeding the site for the winter.

Update November 16, 2020: Crews began work today on the cemetery expansion project. 70 poplar trees and some conifers will come down this week. We know it is going to be a big change, but it is necessary to expand the cemetery for future use. In 2021, when construction resumes we plan to plant over 150 new trees on site.

Update: Construction crews will move heavy equipment to the cemetery this week (Nov 9th) in preparation for work starting November 16th.

Grand View Cemetery Expansion: We plan to begin tree removal and cemetery road construction at Grand View in November. Crews expect to be on site from mid-November through December. The work on this phase of the project includes removal of about 70 poplar trees and some conifers, clearing and grading on site and development of a storm water detention pond. This is just the first phase of the project, we expect crews to return in 2021 to add about 150 new trees and prepare the area for use as a cemetery. Please call 360-293-1918 with questions.
