The City of Anacortes has contracted with Welch Brothers Construction to replace a failing section of storm pipe on Fidalgo Avenue. The section of pipe to be replaced is located between Q Avenue and Commercial Avenue.
The work will begin Wednesday, August 18, and is expected to take approximately 2 weeks.
The work will typically be between 7 am and 7 pm, Monday through Friday, although construction may be allowed during weekends if necessary. You should expect Fidalgo Avenue to be closed between Q and Commercial Avenue for the duration of the project. There will be a detour in place and we appreciate your patience and understanding while the we make this much needed repair to the storm water conveyance system.
